Parents, carers and young people are being encouraged to explore the expanding range of activities, opportunities and support available through Inclusive Wiltshire ahead of the summer holidays and beyond.

Inclusive Wiltshire is Wiltshire Council's approach to providing activities for children and young people aged 0 to 25 with additional needs and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The programme brings together a wide range of inclusive opportunities and support, making it easier for families to access activities that meet their child's individual needs.

There are four options available through Inclusive Wiltshire: Community Activities, Activity Extra, Activity Plus and Activity Payment. Families answer a few simple questions and are then signposted to the most appropriate activities and support for their child or young person. Once registered people can login again to find out more about activities on offer.

Since launching in May, the programme has continued to grow, with more activities now available across Wiltshire. The Activity Plus offer includes a wide range of opportunities and is now being extended to children and young people who do not meet the eligibility criteria for Activity Extra or Activity Payment, ensuring that more families can benefit from activities through Inclusive Wiltshire.

Activity Plus includes activities such as dance, football, boccia, dodgeball and various other sports, activities, and fun games.

A summer programme of creative activities for young people with SEND is also planned across Chippenham, Bradford-on-Avon, Corsham, Salisbury and Melksham, delivered by inclusive local artists and organisations.

Activities include music production workshops and acting and improvisation sessions to creative nature walks and inclusive dance activities, all designed to be fun, welcoming and accessible.
